MT4UTH Bursary

Where the grants come from?
MT4Uth raises funds for the bursary scheme from the donations received for the programmes at each “Musical in a Weekend” and from the tickets sold for the “performance” on the Monday night.

What the Bursary Scheme Provides:
The Bursary Scheme provides young people with a valuable opportunity to work with an international team of Directors and Choreographers.

On each “Musical in a Weekend” between 4 and 6 places will be provided through the MT4Uth Bursary Scheme, depending on money raised.

MT4Uth will provide each selected bursary student with:
• £85 to cover the applicants course fee (*catering costs NOT included*)

Entry Requirements
Applicants should be 11 years old by 1st July 2006, but not older than 22 years and have a genuine Interest in Musical Theatre.

** Applicants under 18 years of age must obtain the approval of their parents or guardians**

In selecting applicants to receive awards, preference will be given to new participants and to those from areas of social need.

Because the funds available for this awards program are extremely limited, bursary places directly from MT4Uth can not cover catering expenses - applications for complete support directly from MT4Uth are unlikely to be funded.

The Next Step
In order to access the application a letter of endorsement from the applicants School, LEA or other relevant body will be required. Endorsement letters should accompany applications and may be sent directly to Sorcha Mc Veigh (Manager).

Completed applications (including endorsement letters) are accepted throughout the year. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their requests at least a month before each project.
